Up-To-Date Theatricals is thrilled to announce our new recording demo service for musical performers. We have teamed with the best that NYC has to offer - Dubway Studios, engineer Mike Judeh and Broadway coach Faser Hardin - to create a top-notch demo recording package. As musical artists, mp3 demos are essential to the promotion of your talent. In this 2 hour session you will leave with 3 to 5 quality (mixing included) 32 bar demos or whole songs that can then be uploaded to your Internet promotional sites - Actors Access, Casting Network, Websites, YouTube, etc.

$220 Session - No Accompanist Provided
2 hours in the Dubway Studio with engineer, Mike Judeh. You have the option of recording with a baby grand piano or an electric piano. The first hour+ in the studio will be recording your demo tracks. The second hour will be spent on editing and mixing. The vocalist is responsible for bringing their own accompanist. The number of selections that will be recorded depends on the length of each song and how prepared and ready the vocalist is to record.

$320 Session - Accompanist Provided
2 hours in the Dubway Studio with engineer, Mike Judeh. A prior 1 hour session with Broadway accompanist and coach Faser Hardin. The 1 hour coaching session will be to prepare the vocalist for the session and to make appropriate cuts on each selection. Faser will also accompany you for the recording session. You have the option of recording with a baby grand piano or an electric piano. The first hour+ in the studio will be recording your demo tracks. The second hour will be spent on editing and mixing. The number of selections that will be recorded depends on the length of each song and how prepared and ready the vocalist is to record.

If your session goes beyond the contracted 2 hours, there will be an overtime charge by the 1/2 hour

DUBWAY STUDIOS

A fixture of NYC's recording scene for over 25 years, Dubway Studios has a long heritage of theatrical recordings, including sessions for Christine Ebersol, Audra MacDonald, Billy Stritch, Alice Ripley, Renee Fleming, the New York City Opera, the Houston Grand Opera, Sh-K-Boom records, and True Love Productions. Dubway's beautiful downtown Manhattan location is a full service and state-of the-art, facility catering to the music industry, televison, and film. Other music recordings include productions for artists Alicia Keys, Cyndi Lauper, Green Day, Fiona Apple, Grace Potter, Nora Jones, the Dave Matthews Band, and the Roots.

MIKE JUDEH - Engineer

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Mike has been part of the New York music scene as a Producer, Engineer, and Musician for over 10 years. He's clocked countless hours tracking, mixing, and mastering numerous artists & bands which include: Ringo Starr, Adele, The Cast of Spring Awakening, Mumford And Sons, Maroon 5, Gnarls Barkley, Gavin DeGraw, Vampire Weekend and The National. Mike also tours around the world with Danish psychedelic soul act "The Asteroids Galaxy Tour" handling front of house engineer duties. In addition to engineering, Mike is a first-rate guitar player and gig's locally whenever he has the chance.

FASER HARDIN - Accompanist & Coach

Faser Hardin is a native Mississippian, has played the piano and organ all of his life. He holds a Master of Music degree from Indiana University School of Music. He has played on and off Broadway in such shows as Chorus Line, Edwin Drood, Annie and Summer '69 as well as numerous regional productions. He is the Organist and Director of Music at Church of the Village here in Manhattan. He is a founding member of the NYCity Slickers, a progressive bluegrass band in which he plays banjo, accordion and hammered dulcimer. He has worked with numerous musical artists including Geraldine Fitzgerald, Shelley Berman, Phyllis Hyman, Lou Jacobi, Len Cariou, Rupert Holmes, Alison Fraser, OIga Merediz, Sally Mayes, Don Stephenson and Randy Skinner.
